#2855 Wild Black Cherry Burl Ring Dish (5 3/8" x 7/8")

This stunning black cherry ring dish was made from a plank from a 200 year old cherry tree.  The tree was removed from a local college campus to make way for a new building.  Every square inch of this tree is beautiful.  This piece is from the edge crotch burl.  This wood has a deep pink/orange coloration with brown and black highlights.  It has a rounded over, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot.  It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
