This gorgeous rainbow tulip poplar bowl is big enough for a large family and will hold 7-8 big servings of salad or a lot of fruit!  The bright coloration is caused by minerals in the soil that are deposited in the tree when water comes in through the roots.  The rich colors are only found in the first few feet of the trunk of the tree.  The result is a "rainbow" of colors.  This bowl has a rounded over, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot.  It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
