My First Order on this New Website!

My older sister Vicki called to chat, ask if she could visit early next month and oh, by the way, buy the Cherry Burl bowl I had just put up on the website. We chatted, I said yes, please come visit and yes, I will gladly sell you the Cherry Burl bowl but you have to buy it on the new website. We had done “test purchases” but had not actually run a real order through the system yet so I asked her to be my guinea pig.

It all worked. She put the bowl in her cart, went to check-out and placed the order with her credit card. Because of the order size, she was supposed to automatically get free shipping. That didn’t work. We’ll fix it. She got her order confirmation with all of the info including the shipping method. I will get the chance to do a partial refund (of the shipping).

I’m so glad she called. It was good to catch up. I’m looking forward to her visit, we live 2 plus hours apart.

Even though I’ve sold over two thousand bowls over the last few years, getting the first order from this new website was great and a big relief that everything (almost) worked.
