This curly wild black cherry wooden bowl came from plank I bought from a distributer in Pennsylvania. The wood is very dense and heavy. It most likely grew in a cold climate. It has lovely amber curly growth ring transition lines and a big bud scar in the bottom. This beautiful bowl will darken with exposure to light but in the meantime, enjoy the pink. This bowl has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
