This small ring dish is made from a piece of quilted big leaf maple from the Pacific Northwest. Big leaf maple is prized by woodworkers for it's dense grain structure, it's easy workability and it's beautiful color and figure. Quilted maple has wonderful chatoyance and the figure jumps off the dish when you turn it in the light This dish is two tone, sand and copper, like night and day. It has a rounded, curved and undercut rim and a small raised foot. It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
