This wine bottle stopper is made from big leaf maple burl from the Pacific Northwest. The beauty of big leaf maple burl makes it a very highly sought after wood (expensive too!) I save all of the drops and make ring dishes or weed pots or bottle stoppers out of them. I haven't figured out what to do with the sawdust but I'm thinking! This piece uses a Niles SS7000 stainless stopper.
