I really love this cherry from the 200 year old cherry tree.  The color is so rich and the wood is very dense so it polishes like glass.  This small dish has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot.  There are two repaired worm holes.  This bowl was made from a slab from that amazing log.  The tree was removed from a local college to make way for a new building.  My job is to give it new life in the pieces I make from it.
