This wine stopper is made from spalted big leaf maple from the Pacific Northwest. Spalting often produces these ink black transition lines and an array of colors. This lovely wine stopper had a food safe, natural, oil finish. This bottle stopper has a Niles (SS7000) 304 18-8 stainless steel stopper.
