I AM NOT OLD - I'M IN MY SENIOR PRIME

I am retired after working 54 years for someone else. I’ve worked seven days a week since 2008, five days for my company and two days for me in my wood shop. I ran this business, Sanders Woodworking, Inc., part time until December of 2017. Now I work seven days a week for me and I love it.

I went to the doctor to see why I was having shoulder discomfort. She said I have arthritis in both shoulders and a mild tear in my rotator cuff tendon in my right shoulder. She said “What do you expect, you’re old. You’re 19 years past 50. People start getting arthritis when they’re 50.”

I am not old! I’m healthy, active and engaged. I have social media accounts, i understand and use lots of computer programs and I am still very coordinated and agile. I am not old! I am in my senior prime!

When I told my son what the doctor said he told me “You are old Dad”. They are both wrong. I am not old, I’m in my senior prime!
