Which One Today

I have thousands of pieces of wood, bowl blanks, dry “green” bowls and log sections in my shop. When I start each day I get to decide “Which one today”. Sometimes it’s a lost treasure like yesterday.

To make room for the new air compressor, we had to move some planks that were stored standing up in the “wood room”. One of them was a piece of quilted maple that I bought from a friend 5 or 6 years ago. I had forgotten how intense the figure was. As soon as I found it I knew I wanted to turn it next.
