This lovely honey colored sapele wood bowl is made from a quartersawn plank. Quartersawing can produce ribbon figure in sapele and you can see faint traces of that in this bowl. Sapele has an almost metalic reflective quality and you can see it best in the video of this bowl. This bowl has a tapered, undercut rim and a raised foot. Food safe, natural, oil finish.
