This colorful rainbow tulip poplar wood bowl has tons of green, some curly transition lines and a swatch of purple. It has a curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. Color like this is usually only present in the base of a poplar tree. This bowl came from a large poplar log and was cored from a larger bowl. Coring allows me to get 6-8 bowls from each 12-16” log section. Food safe, natural, oil finish.
