This small potbelly bowl is made from claro walnut from California. Claro is native to the Pacific Northwest, primarily Northern California and Oregon. This tree can get 5-6 feet in diameter and 75 feet tall. It is used as root stock for English Walnut in the commercial walnut groves. Claro walnut is known for it’s color and figure. This bowl has red undertones and a lovely dark chocolate brown streak. It has a flared rim and a small raised foot. Food safe, natural, oil finish.
