#2519 Small Tiger Maple Wooden Bowl 4" x 2"
This small tiger or flame maple wooden bowl is made from local southern or soft maple. My friend who made moldings went through thousands of board feet of lumber a month and set aside highly figured boards for me. This bowl came from one of those pieces. It has a curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. The wall to bottom transition is too abrupt. That’s the fault of the maker not the bowl. Typical of maple, the food safe, natural, oil finish is smooth as silk.
