This small ring dish was made from an eastern North Carolina mulberry burl. My son was working on a big project in Hertford, NC and one of his guys showed up to work with big hunks of mulberry burl in the back of his pick-up. He was going to burn it for firewood. My son bought it instead and brought it to me for Father’s Day that year. I’m so happy he did. The figure and color are breathtaking. This dish has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
