#2605 Pommele Sapele Wooden Bowl 11 1/8" x 2"
I’ve made over 3000 bowls in the last 15 years and there have been some pretty spectacular ones in that group, this bowl has to be in the top 10, maybe even top 5. Pommele sapele is beautiful. Pommele is the French word meaning dappled. Every square inch of this bowl is dappled! The figure is chatoyant, changing when you turn it in the light, appearing to jump off the surface of the bowl. This shallow bowl has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
