This small wooden bowl is made from a slice of honey locust. Honey locust has long, very sharp thorns on the bark and the wood is extremely hard and heavy. The wood is also very pretty and because it’s so dense, it takes a fine polish. I especially like the color contrast in the growth rings. This bowl has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
