This amazing pommele sapele wooden bowl has exceptional figure and color. Pommele is French for dappled and this bowl is certainly dappled. The figure changes when you turn it in the light. The pommele figure is very chatoyant like a cats eye marble. I have thousands of board feet of lumber that I have accumulated over the last 50 years but none more beautiful than this. I thought I was down to the last few board feet of this exceptional quality pommele sapele but last week I found 3 more 10’ boards that were stored on the wrong shelf. This bowl has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
