This small ambrosia maple wood bowl has filled beetle holes on the rim and inside the bowl. I left the outside holes intact. They were made by the ambrosia beetle. We owe thanks to the beetle for the fungus it left behind that made the beautiful gray and amber patches. This lovely small bowl has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. It has a food safe, natural, oil finish. This particular bowl came from a tree in NC. I’ve had the planks since 1979. They have been waiting patiently to be made into something beautiful.
