This small maple hollow form has fantastic birdseye figure. This piece was made from a veneer core, the piece of wood left when a log is “peeled” to make veneer. You could walk in to a museum or antique shop and see a piece of exquisite furniture with veneer from this log. I’m just glad I got the core. This piece has a heavy bottom (thick) which makes it more stabile on a small raised foot. This piece has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
