This medium sized wooden ambrosia maple bowl has pretty advanced spalting. It hasn’t turned to balsa wood yet but it does have some pithy dots. You can see them in the pictures. The pithy dots are sealed. I really like the contrasting colors, cream vs dark gray/brown with some amber growth ring transition lines. This lovely bowl has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. This would make a great popcorn bowl though I might have to fill it twice. This bowl has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
