This terrific ribbon sapele has ribbon figure over the entire surface. The ribbon figure is very crisp and distinct. I’ve been in love with this wood since I turned my first ribbon sapele bowl 10-12 years ago. Sapele small spicy, like cinnamon, when you turn or sand it. This bowl has wonderful chatoyant figure that changes when you turn it in the light. It has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
