This small, shallow redwood jewelry dish is made from old growth redwood. I bought this piece of wood at auction in 2012. It sat in my shop since then waiting to be made into something. Every day I walk through my shop until something strikes my eye and then that’s what I make that day. I know this is old growth redwood because only old growth has this quilt figure. Truthfully I wish the tree was still standing but at least I made something that will last many generations. This dish has a rounded, curved taper, undercut rim and a small raised foot. It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
