I almost didn’t include “Ribbon” in the title since the ribbons are faint but when you turn this bowl in the light they get more distinct. I don’t usually make bowls from imported wood but this wood came from a person who was in need. He worked for an wood importer and had selected quite a few planks over the years to buy for himself. He wound up not being able to use it and needed to sell it. Sapele comes from West Africa. Food safe, natural, oil finish.
