I Can See Clearly Now - Well Almost

The good news is that my retina surgery seems to have been a success! The bad news is that after a week I’m still getting seasick. Part of the procedure is to put air and saline in the eyeball. The result is an air bubble. I’ve become a human carpenters level. Each day the bubble shrinks but it might be another week before it disappears completely. It’s the air bubble that makes me seasick. When I move my head it bobs around.

My vision is much improved already. No more wavy lines of text when I read and everything comes into focus properly. It may take 4-6 more weeks for my vision to return to completely normal. It’s still too early to return to the shop but it’s coming and I can’t wait.

Thank you for all of the well wishes and prayers. The doctor considers the operation a complete success. It’s about time something went right!

So now you call me eagle eye!
